Careers in Theatre - Drama - Research Project

This Careers in Theatre Research Project will allow students to demonstrate an understanding of the broader world of drama and theatre by identifying and describing the roles and responsibilities of key theatre personnel. In groups, students will be assigned to research one of the following key theatre careers:

• Actor
• Director
• Lighting or Sound Technician
• Producer
• Set or Costume Designer
• Stage Manager

They will then create and present a PowerPoint or Google Slides presentation, answering a series of questions about their assigned career.

This product includes:

- Handout outlining all details and expectations for the assignment

- Drama research project assessment rubric

- Chart to record student groups and their assigned career in theatre
