Cultural Dance Assignment

This Cultural Dance Assignment teaches students to appreciate diverse cultures through dance, as well as teaches them about the evolution and influence of dance on the development of personal and cultural identity.

In groups, students will pick a dance from one of their own cultures to introduce to the class. They will create and present a PowerPoint or Google Slides presentation, answering a series of questions that they will research about their chosen cultural dance. They will also learn a short routine from the dance and teach the class a popular dance move that is found within the cultural dance.
