Dessine un lutin ! - Les Parties du Corps - Listening + Reading Activities

Assess students' knowledge of vocabulary related to body parts, numbers, and colours with these Dessine un lutin! listening and reading comprehension activities.

During the listening activity, students are to create an elf based on the physical characteristics said by the teacher. During the reading comprehension, students are to draw and colour an elf after reading about the physical description of the elf. This is a perfect summative assessment that includes two strands of the FSL curriculum, while also requiring students to demonstrate knowledge of multiple themes of vocabulary. Students find these activities very fun to complete, especially during Christmas time! Answer keys are included for efficient grading.

After completing these activities, I usually have my students create and describe their own elves. They then work in partners to create their own listening and reading comprehension activities like these. Partner A will describe their elf while Partner B draws what they hear, and vice versa.
