Jour du Souvenir / Journée des anciens combattants - French Dance Assignment

If you teach Dance in French, this is a great resource for you and your students during the month of November for Remembrance Day or Veterans Day!

Teach students to communicate feelings and ideas through dance with this Jour du Souvenir Dance Assignment! Students will work in groups to create a dance to one of the assigned French songs. They can present their performance in front of the class or during a school assembly. Upon completion of the performance, they will write a reflection piece where they analyze the different elements of dance, as well as their own strengths and areas for growth.

This resource includes two versions, with variations in titles and images (Jour du Souvenir and Journée des anciens combattants) in order to be accessible to both Canadian and American teachers and classrooms.
