La Saint-Valentin - Valentine's Day - French Vocabulary Activity + Word Wall: Begin your Valentine's Day unit in French with this vocabulary activity and Word Wall! This product consists of 20 vocabulary words related to la Saint-Valentin (Valentine's Day), where students will practice their dictionary skills by not only finding the English translation, but also discovering if the word is masculine or feminine. An answer key is included.
The Mur de mots (Word Wall) includes all of the vocabulary words that are in the vocabulary activity, along with an image beside each word. This can be displayed in your French classroom on a bulletin board in February as a visual reference for students throughout your Valentine's Day unit. Just print, cut, laminate, and enjoy!
This Loto de la Saint-Valentin Bingo game is an excellent way for your students to develop their French vocabulary! Students are given a BINGO/LOTO/AMOUR player template card (it is your choice as the teacher which title of the playing card that you want to distribute), as well as a paper with the 20 French Valentine's Day vocabulary items. They are to cut out all of the images and glue them to the playing card in any order they would like. Once cut out and glued, you can laminate the sheets so that you can reuse them every year!
Included are also Teacher Calling Cards, which are larger versions of the 20 French Valentine's Day vocabulary items for you to cut out and randomly select for students to match on their own Bingo sheet and put a chip marker on top. The first students to get a straight line either vertically or horizontally (your choice) wins the game.

La Saint-Valentin - French Song/Chanson -Fill in the Blanks - Listening Activity: Celebrate Valentine's Day in your French classroom with this fill-in-the-blank listening activity to the song « La Saint-Valentin » by Matt Maxwell, while also practicing and assessing French listening comprehension skills! Students will listen to the song and use the word box to fill in the missing lyrics. I like to play the song 3 times, pausing the music after every blank to give students time to find the missing word. There are 15 fill-in-the-blanks related to Valentine's Day vocabulary. Included are two versions of the activity (one with a link to the song on YouTube for easy access and one without), as well as an answer key for efficient grading!
