Les éléments de la danse - French Elements of Dance Lesson and Note: Do you teach Dance in French? If so, this resource is perfect for you! Use these slides as a lesson to teach your class about the Elements of Dance in French! This lesson includes detailed information about the 5 elements: 

Corps (Body), Interrelations (Relationship), Temps (Time), Énergie (Energy), and Espace (Space). Included is also template for your students to use to copy the note.

I usually project the lesson on the board and have students copy key points using the note template found on the last two pages of this resource. If you choose to print the slides, be sure to print pages 2-8 in the landscape format. Pages 9-10 (the note for your students) should be printed double-sided in portrait format.

Les éléments de la danse - Activité des 5 coins - French Dance Activity: If you teach Dance in French, this interactive 5 Corners Activity is a fun and engaging way for students to further understand the 5 Elements of Dance! Each student will receive a sentence that analyzes a dancer's performance. The student then has to decide which Element the sentence relates to and moves to the section of the classroom with that Element label. All you have to do is cut out the 5 Elements and sentences, then laminate! Place the 5 Elements around the classroom and the sentences in an envelope for students to pick from. This activity leads to effective classroom problem-solving and discussion!

Analyse des éléments de la danse - So You Think You Can Dance French Analysis: If you teach Dance in French, this resource can be used for students to demonstrate their learning and their ability to analyze the 5 Elements of Dance (Corps, Interrelations, Temps, Énergie, Espace) in a specific performance. In small groups, students will choose any So You Think You Can Dance performance video on YouTube. They will then work together to analyze in French all of the Elements of their chosen performance, using specific examples.
