Les Parties du Corps - Body Parts - French Vocabulary Activity + Word Wall: Begin your Body Parts Unit in French with this vocabulary activity and Word Wall! This resource consists of 20 vocabulary words related to « les parties du corps », where students will practice their dictionary skills by not only finding the English translation, but also discovering if the word is masculine or feminine. An answer key is included.

The Mur de mots (Word Wall) includes all of the vocabulary words that are in the vocabulary activity, along with an image beside each word. This can be displayed in your French classroom as a visual reference for students throughout your Body Parts unit. Just print, cut, laminate, and enjoy!

Dessine un lutin ! - Les Parties du Corps - Listening and Reading Activities: Assess students' knowledge of vocabulary related to body parts, numbers, and colours with these Dessine un lutin! listening and reading comprehension activities. During the listening activity, students are to create an elf based on the physical characteristics said by the teacher. During the reading comprehension, students are to draw and colour an elf after reading about the physical description of the elf. This is a perfect summative assessment that includes two strands of the FSL curriculum, while also requiring students to demonstrate knowledge of multiple themes of vocabulary. Students find these activities very fun to complete, especially during Christmas time! Answer keys are included for efficient grading.

Décris les monstres! - Parties du corps - Google Slides™ Writing Activities: This Décris les monstres Google Slides™ product includes three different writing tasks to help your students improve their French writing skills using vocabulary related to body parts, numbers, and colours.

In the first section, students are to describe 5 different monsters while being provided with sentence starters to scaffold their writing. Eventually, they are provided with less prompts to assess whether they can enhance their writing on their own.

In the second section, students are given 5 more monsters to describe and are expected to write at least 5 sentences independently, without sentence starters or prompts, using the knowledge they previously learned from the first task.

In the third and final section, students will design their own monster by copying and pasting the body part images from the following slides. Once they finish their design, they are to write a paragraph about their own monster that they created themselves. At the end of this assignment, I like to have my students present their monster and paragraph to the class.

This activity usually takes my students over a week to complete. It is perfect summative task that can be used for distance or in-person learning. The text boxes are already provided on each slide for your students to type directly on. There is an example provided at the start of the first section and each section includes a Slide with instructions in order to clearly outline the expectations of each task for you and your students.

Bonjour Monsieur - French Song/Chanson - Fill in the Blanks - Listening Activity: This fill-in-the-blank listening activity to the song « Bonjour Monsieur » by Matt Maxwell is a great way to practice and assess French listening comprehension skills! Students will listen to the song and use the word box to fill in the missing lyrics. I like to play the song 3 times, pausing the music after every blank to give students time to find the missing word. There are 15 fill-in-the-blanks related to Les parties du corps (body parts) vocabulary. Included are two versions of the activity (one with a link to the song on YouTube for easy access and one without), as well as an answer key for efficient grading!
